Driving Safer

Kia DRIVE WiSE

Kia DRIVE WiSE can expand your awareness of the road. The array of technology can include systems, like:

  • Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA)
  • Forward Collision Warning (FCW)
  • Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BSW)
  • Lane Departure Warning (LDW)

To limit the possibility or impact of a frontal collision, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) deploys radar and a camera on the windscreen to detect possible obstacles in your path.

You can keep on the straight and narrow, too. Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BSW) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW) help you change (or stay in) your lane by providing alerts.

Parking Smarter

Kia DRIVE WiSE

When you arrive at your destination, you can park with confidence thanks to Kia DRIVE WiSE. The collection of technology can deploy systems, like:

  • Parking Assist-Perpendicular Reverse (PA-PDR)
  • Around View Monitor
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)

This safety system does the work for you. Parking Assist-Perpendicular Reverse (PA-PDR) harnesses the ultrasonic sensors to monitor the area around you. It can park itself into parallel or perpendicular spaces with minimal driver direction.

The Around View Monitor (AVM) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) keep a lookout. AVM uses four wide-angle images to provide a comprehensive view of the area around your Kia vehicle.

RCTA watches the area around your vehicle. If a shopping cart is rolling across the parking lot, the system can let you know if it is moving into your path.

Driving Brighter

Kia DRIVE WiSE

If you are driving through rural Indiana, you can stay sharp when the sun sets. When the road is dark, Kia technology provides two ways to be aware of the road ahead.

Are you on the lookout for deer? High Beam Assist (HBA) can detect when an oncoming driver passes your vehicle. The technology toggles the high beams so you and the other driver can see the road. Then, when the oncoming car passes, it will turn the high beams on again. This makes it easier for other drivers to see and provides a safer traveling experience.

Low Beam Assist-Dynamic (LBA-D) goes with the flow. The lighting system turns in the same direction as your vehicle. If you are hugging a curve, LBA-D lights your path as you turn. This provides safer passage during the night or in low visibility conditions.

These systems create peace of mind for drivers. You’ll have a steady co-pilot in your cabin while you navigate street corners or hit the open highway. How can you learn more about the Kia safety system?
