With its available turbocharged engine, the Kia Sorento can provide up to 281 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque. The engine produces an EPA-estimated 22 city/29 highway MPG.1

The Honda CR-V, on the other hand, comes standard with a turbocharged in-line 4-cylinder engine that’s paired with a Continuously Variable Transmission. This gives the CR-V 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft of torque in the base trim level. The 2023 SUV nets an EPA-estimated 28 city/34 highway MPG on both the EX and EX-L trims.2

Our verdict? The Honda CR-V averages a more efficient ride. If you need more power, however, you can use the available engine of the Kia Sorento.
